Driving Instructors Required

Join the progressive, expanding team. We are looking for instructors full and part time to train on the HGV, C1 7.5 tonne, D1 Minibus, B+E Car and Trailer and much more. We have two depots in Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

You will need to have held your B+E /HGV for at least 3 years, and have at least this amount of driving experience especially in reversing/uncoupling (B+E)..work well on your own, using own initiative have a friendly, supportive, positive, professional, non discrimatory approach. Good time keeping is a must, and a smart, clean, casual appearance is required.

About the role:

Our drivers are responsible for the successful delivery of food & catering products to the nation’s schools, care homes, restaurants and pubs. You’ll be joining our over 2,000 strong team of drivers who help us to ensure our customers receive quality service.

We’re looking for drivers whose enthusiasm to do a great job shines through in everything they do. Working a 45hr week, our shift patterns are 5 out of 7 days working just 1 Saturday in every 4. You’ll have a positive outlook that will help you thrive in the achievement of the following daily responsibilities:

  • Delivery of customer orders on 18t manual/automatic vehicle
  • Accurate order picking once at customer’s site
  • Ensuring product temperatures are maintained
  • Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA
  • Compliance with our Safe Systems of Works as well as hygiene and other related legislation

To be successful in the role you’ll need:

  • HGV2 license, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Basic administration skills to help you complete delivery paperwork effectively and in a timely manner
  • Good communication skills which enable you to deliver excellent customer service and work well with your Brakes colleagues
  • A commitment to doing the right thing and prioritising the experience of our customers.
  • Whilst not essential, multi drop experience is preferred.

Wanted flat bed lorry driver

Trusstec is a manufacture of roof trusses and Joists based in Theale.

We have a vacancy for a full time or part time or temp driver of our flat bed lorry to make deliveries of our products to local builders etc.

Wanted HGV Driver

Will preferably have clam bucket experience, but not essential.

Our client is a family run Grabloader & recycled aggregate business based in Grazeley near Reading just off junction 11 of the M4.

The HGV Grab Driver will be required to travel around the Thames Valley Area mainly covering Berkshire, South Oxfordshire and Hampshire.

You will be required to load Recycled Aggregates and Soil from our premises in Caversham and Pingewood and deliver them to our customers.

The HGV Grab Driver will then be required to pick up spoil from the site with a Grab bucket and return back.

The HGV Grab Driver will be expected to complete his own paperwork for each job and return them to the Office at the end of each working day.

The successful HGV Grab Driver should have a willingness to work hard and the capacity to learn quickly.

You must have a HGV Class II qualification and an up to date Driver CPC. The HGV Grab Driver must be able to follow instructions, be able to work as part of a team but also be able to use their initiative.

If you are a competent HGV driver and can negotiate and manoeuvre the vehicle to an excellent standard but you do not have any Grab bucket experience that may not be a problem. We will train the right candidate to pass the Hiab Training.
